About the Position

We are looking for an accounting professional to lead our Client Accounting & Advisory Services practice. This will require close alignment with firm leadership as we establish this new set of services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, a passion for client service, and the leadership skills to drive growth and innovation within our practice.

As the Leader of the Client Accounting & Advisory Services practice, you will be responsible for building, managing, and expanding our client accounting services offering. You will oversee a team of accountants and financial professionals, ensuring that clients receive exceptional service and that the practice operates efficiently and profitably. Your role will involve strategic planning, client relationship management, team leadership, and business development.

Competencies and Position Requirements

Practice Management:

  • Oversees the daily operations of the Client Accounting & Advisory Services practice
  • Develops and implements strategies to improve efficiency and profitability
  • Monitors performance metrics and manages practice financials

Client Relationship Management:

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients
  • Ensures that clients receive high-quality accounting and financial services
  • Identifies opportunities to expand services to existing clients

Team Leadership:

  • Leads, mentors, and manages a team of accounting professionals
  • Provides training and development opportunities for team members
  • Fosters a collaborative and positive work environment

Business Development:

  • Identifies and pursues new business opportunities
  • Develops proposals and presentations for prospective clients
  • Collaborates with the marketing team to enhance practice visibility

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensures compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and firm policies
  • Maintains high standards of quality in all client deliverables

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in accounting or financial services, including leadership roles. Experience in CAAS field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Proven track record in managing teams and leading accounting practices.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills
  • Strong business development and sales acumen
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in accounting software and technology
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Experience with process improvement and change management preferred
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online and other cloud-based accounting solutions preferred
